There is currently a bug in the new software that is preventing some of the preset packs to display the previews correctly. This is primarily affecting presets with integrated textures and borders.
What is happening:
When previewing the presets using the "Presets" pane on the left, the previews may not display any changes. Also, when clicking on a preset, it does not apply anything to the image.
Here is an example of what this looks like:
The border presets in the Preset panel on the left should be displaying a preview of the border. Here, in ON1 Photo RAW, a bug is preventing it from displaying properly.
Temporary Solution:
To fix this, you must apply the borders or textures manually. You can do this with the following steps:
- In Effects, click on "Add Filter" on the right.
- Select either Border or Textures from the list (depending on which effect you want to apply).
- In the Category, select the appropriate Nicolesy border or texture pack (in this example, I am applying a border from the ON1 Hundred preset pack).
- Then, in either the "Border" or "Textures" drop-down (below the "Category" drop-down), select an item from the list.
Future Updates:
There are two possible solutions to this problem: a software update from ON1 Photo that would automatically resolve the error, or an manual update to the preset pack. I am working directly with ON1 Photo to find a solution, and so if preset packs updates are necessary, then I will make the required updates and send out emails with new downloads to the affected customers.
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience!
