Mac:
To create a screenshot of your screen on an Apple computer, use one of the following:
- To create a screenshot of the entire window, use the shortcut Cmd + Shift + 3
- To create a screenshot of one window, use the shortcut Cmd + Shift + 4, then press the Spacebar, and then click on the window you want to capture.
- To create a screenshot of a specific area, use the shortcut Cmd + Opt + 4, and then use the cursor to draw over the area you want to capture.
By default your screenshot image will be located on your desktop.
Windows:
To create a screenshot of your screen on a Windows computer, use one of the following:
- To create a screenshot of the entire window, use the Print Screen button to copy your entire window. Then, open up the Paint application, paste the image (Ctrl + V), and then save the document.
- To create a screenshot of a specific window, hold the Alt key and then press the Print Screen button to copy the application window. Then, open up the Paint application, paste the image (Ctrl + V), and then save the document.
